Select a group of clips from one camera/recorder (Click on 1st, go to last and Shift-click).ĥ. All the clips from each camera should be grouped together.Ĥ. In Event Browser, click on clip name column heading to sort by name. In Event Browser at top right, select List View icon, or use OPT+CMD+2 to toggle between list view and filmstrip view.ģ. If this is not done the multicam clip will often not work correctly. Explanation: īefore creating and syncing a multicam clip, the data must be prepped by labeling within FCPX each batch of files (both audio and video) from each camera or recorder. To sync A/V files in FCPX, use a multicam clip not a sync clip, even for one audio and one video source. But FCPX by itself will probably handle your case if set up correctly. You must sync clips then import them or add clips to a timeline and round-trip out and back. The downside is PluralEyes is not well-designed for the FCPX workflow since it won't sync imported clips in the Event Browser. PluralEyes can handle some more difficult cases such as extreme echo, very high ambient noise, or syncing hundreds of files.

You likely don't need PluralEyes for this, FCPX will sync it if done properly. I am having audio issues recording an interview using Panasonic GH4/GX8 in a large room. This warning did not show up on subsequent recordings.ĭon't know about Plural eyes, but in FCPX did you try automatic syncing or manual one? Very weird.Ĥ) I noticed in Pluraleyes there was a drift correction on one of the audio clips as it was synced to video. One track was synced properly but the audio from another audio track was playing at a lower on the same channel. This is with good audio coming from the camera mic.ģ) I noticed that I was getting two tracks syncing using Pluraleyes. If I grab all the video and audio clips and synchronize them I sometimes just get audio from a different time playing over the video. I have had better luck with Pluraleyes.Ģ) Sometimes I start and stop audio/video recording. When I play portions of the video from the camera the audio is clear and I am not sure why the video did not sync up in FPC X. i am getting clear, strong audio from the camera mic which shouldn't be problem with syncing to H6 audio. When I synchronize the video and audio clips in FCP X 10.4.3 or Pluraleyes 4.1.6 I get either:ġ) Sections where the video is synced and sections where there is the video is just black but the audio is running using either FCP or Pluraleyes to sync. I thought you can simply select your audio and video clips you shot in a session and then sync them using either program. I have had little success with audio synchronizing. I was recording WAV 48khz at 16 bit on the Zoom and video was 1080p MP4.

My camera is about 5-10 feet from the subject and I have a Sennheiser MKE600 about 14-20 inches from the subject's face using a boom mic pole.
